About the Artist:
Sud & Co. (formerly Pastis & Co.) ceramics are handmade by potters from an area of southeastern France stretching from the southern Alps to the port city of Marseille on the French Riviera.
Provence has a very long history of pottery-making and the tradition is still very much alive today: go into any house across the region and you are almost certain to find Provençal pottery in the kitchen or on the dinner table, not as an ornament but as an integral part of daily life. These are beautiful, but they are above all useful objects; they are tools.
Sud & Co. discontinued its business as a ceramic manufacturer in mid-2009.
