Product Description:
This rare card game based on the popular cartoon character of Donald Duck was copyrighted and manufactured in 1949 by the Whitman Publishing Company for Disney Studios. The Donald Duck Card Game consists of 44 cards: four sets of cards numbered 1 to 10, and four Donald Duck cards. The rules card for the game offers two different play options: one game for two to four players, and a second for two players only.
Unfortunately, the original box for this game has been lost. However, to protect the beautiful illustrations on the cards, a clear plastic card case is included with purchase of the game.
The cards themselves are in fair vintage condition. Whereas most of the cards have no conditions issues, some cards do have tears, creases, marks, and discoloration. Please review accompanying photographs, which exemplify some of these issues.
Because of the condition of some of the cards, Dogbotz Boneyard recommends that the Donald Duck Card Game not be used for play, but instead be used for collector’s purposes only. For those who collect Disney paraphernalia or mid-century children’s games and toys, this card game would make for a great addition.
