Product Description:
Produced in 1984 by Candle Distribution Company of Bayswater, Australia, Drover’s Dilemma is a rare and unusual card game. The object of the game is for players to get their drovers to complete a 1,000-kilometer journey. The first to do so wins the game. However, players never know when a drought may occur or a runaway horse crosses their paths — danger lurks all about.
The game has 94 cards to its deck. The cards are in good vintage good, free of creases, tears, and frayed edges. The instruction sheet has yellowed a bit with age and has a crease in its middle. The rules sheet has staining along its edges. The original box no longer exists for this card game, so two plastic card cases secure the game cards.
Sometimes perceived as a weird Australian outback version of the French card game Mille Bornes, Drover’s Dilemma is so odd in its premise that it provides hours of family entertainment. For collectors of foreign games and toys, this rare card game will add value to their collections.
