This contemporary, unique, handcrafted dice tower is made of genuine cherry wood (not a laser cut thin plywood as would be punched out of a factory). The artisan has used the finest-grade wood. The tower is constructed of half-inch solid cherry, is four inches square and ten inches tall, and has green felt-covered baffles. All edges are chamfered using a 45-degree router bit to give it a softer look and feel. The half-inch cherry construction, although it adds weight to the tower, provides stability and sturdiness for long years of enjoyable gaming.
The dice tray is lined with forest green felt and has mitered cherry wood sides. The bottom of the tray has an additional felt covering to reduce the potential of damaging tabletop surfaces.
The tower and tray are spray-finished with five to seven coats of durable oil-based polyurethane, with the final coat being satin that is buffed out with steel wool and then waxed to give it a rich luster rather than a shine.
As an added bonus, included with the cherry wood tower and tray is a set of six vintage Bakelite dice, in excellent condition, each measuring a half-inch wide with a nice butterscotch color.
When not in use, the dice tower can be inserted into the tray for easy storage. Or, the assembled tower and tray can be placed on display as a show or conversation piece. This item will serve your gaming needs and will be treasured for years.
