The Lomonosov (Imperial) Porcelain Factory was founded in 1744 in Saint Petersburg by decree of Empress Elisabeth, Peter the Great’s daughter. It became the first renowned porcelain factory in Russia due to its stunning figurines and other objects and for its essential artistic contribution to world culture.
This beautiful Lomonosov porcelain figurine of a raccoon is in excellent condition. The figurine is free of cracks, chips, crazing or any other marks. The coloring of the Raccoon is lifelike, and the posture of the beast is true to its nature. The traditional Lomonosov Porcelain Factory stamp “LFZ” (in Cyrillic characters) appears on the bottom of the figurine, along with the words “Made in Russia.”
