From the Meskwaki Nation in Tama, Iowa, comes this vintage medicine bag or pouch hand-made by tribal artisan Brenda Youngbear. The pouch is made from deer hide and glass beads (yellow, orange, red, turquoise and black). The hide is in good vintage condition, showing a natural aging color. All the seed and tube beads are present.
This beautiful and usable medicine pouch would make for an excellent gift for the aficionado or collector of American Indian artifacts. Or, consider giving this pouch to honor someone who has recently undergone a profound spiritual experience!
