This antique educational card game about wild animals was created and copyrighted in 1903 by Cincinnati Game Company. The Wild Animals card game features 55 cards, each depicting an animal from the “four corners of our globe.” Some of the wild beasts represented in the deck are the Dromedary, Elephant, Beaver, Fox, Porcupine, Reindeer and Woodchuck.
This version is complete with all 55 cards plus one card advertising a list of other Cincinnati Company Games. The game cards are in excellent vintage condition, free of tears, creases, stains, and frayed edges. A few cards have slight discoloration from age. The monochromatic photographs on the front remain clear as does the lion design on the backside.
The game box is also in great vintage condition, showing only minor edge wear for a game more than 110 years old. The instructions are intact with only minimal discoloration and they offer unique teaching exercises using the card game. Please see accompanying photos for the condition of all game components.
The Wild Animals card game is ideal for home schooling or for a middle- or high-school science teacher. For those who collect antique games, the Game of Words is also an excellent addition to such a collection.
