In 1946, the Russell Manufacturing Company of Leicester, Massachusetts, produced a set of six miniature card games based on different characters created by Walt Disney and his studio. These six games were then packaged in a cardboard case, resembling books in a library bookcase. The games included in this series are:
- Volume 1: Donald Duck Game
- Volume 2: Pinocchio Game
- Volume 3: Mickey Mouse Game
- Volume 4: Bambi Game
- Volume 5: The Three Little Pigs Game
- Volume 6: Snow White and the Seven Dwarves Game
Overall, the games in this set are in fair vintage condition, and that includes the outer game case, which has one split corner, a strip of white adhesive tape adhered to the front panel, and a piece of cellophane tape in one corner of its bottom. The outer case shows signs of wear in some corners as well.
The slip cases for game volumes 1 to 3 have a split along one edge so that the slip cases no longer work properly, though they do protect the cards inside. All of the slip cases show signs of wear in their corners and top edges. The majority of cards for each game are either creased or discolored, and often a combination of both. All six games come with an instruction sheet, though in some circumstances, the rules sheets may be torn and/or missing a piece. Please see the accompanying photographs to view the condition of each card game and the outer case.
Because of the condition of these card games, Dogbotz Boneyard recommends that they not be used for play. Instead, these would make wonderful additions for anyone who collects vintage card games or Disney products and paraphernalia.
