This scarf clip is composed of shiny gold-tone metal formed like a leaf with raised veining. Three oval gold-tone frames hold Lucite cabochons. These stones are carved into the shapes of Egyptian scarabs, which are poured-mold opaque Lucite with detailed impressions. One scarab is turquoise blue in color, another jade green, and the third is root beer brown. All of the stones are faux.
The back has a hinged ring for use with a scarf or as fur clip or pin. This item can also be used to attach to a lapel, pocket or another part of clothing for wearing as a brooch.
This scarf clip is in great vintage condition. There are a few raised markings on the back, one of which is the letter H, though it remains uncertain whether this represents a designer’s hallmark.
This stunning scarf clip makes for a unique addition to any costume jewelry collection. If you collect Egyptian Revival costume jewelry, then don’t let this piece pass you by!
