This eclectic collection of three tall tiki tumblers is in great vintage condition. None of the tumblers have cracks or chips, and they show little signs of wear. The tallest of the three tumblers has a marking on its bottom, indicating that it was manufactured in Japan. The white-and-red tumbler with a face both front and back was made by local Chicago potter Arlene Twardowski, her signature “Arlene” appears on the bottom of the tumbler. The only condition changes to the tumblers are: the Easter Island head tumbler has had its bottom covered in dry felt, and the Arlene Twardowski tumbler has four irregularly shaped reddish orange tabs placed on its bottom. These elements seem to have been added to the tumblers to prevent the pottery from scratching wood or other delicate surfaces.
This unique tiki tumbler set would make a great addition to your kitchen to be used for any Asian, Hawaiian or South Seas-theme patio or indoor party. The tumbler set is also a great gift for anyone who collects unique kitchenware or pottery.
