From 1965 comes a true vintage game treasure: a rare copy of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Card Game! While the box has had exposure to the everyday world, it is in good vintage condition, with just a few scuff marks on the box top and a sticker with the letter “A” on a side panel. Its graphics remain vivid and colorful. The interior components of the game are protected inside the original shrink-wrapped plastic covering.
50 years ago, Milton-Bradley was a huge manufacturer and distributor of movie-, TV- and cartoon-related games, supplying a seemingly infinite source for new game concepts and strategies. The television show The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (United Network Command for Law and Enforcement) itself ran for four seasons and had a massive audience from the autumn of 1964 to the spring of 1968. The series starred Robert Vaughn and David McCallum. The series was so popular that, even though it was strictly fictional, one can find remnants of the show’s impact and popularity in the Ronald Reagan Presidential exhibit on spies and counterspies. The Man From U.N.C.L.E. memorabilia can also be found in the museums of the Central Intelligence Agency and other U.S. agencies and organizations engaged in gathering intelligence.
Milton-Bradley took full advantage of this phenomenon with this card game. For half of a century, The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Card Game has resided in a back room waiting to be rediscovered by someone who will recognize just how special it really is. Now is your chance to own a piece of television heyday history.
