Produced in the early 1900s by Milton Bradley comes the wonderfully illustrated Wild Flowers card game. This game was intended to teach youngsters and their families alike about the different wild flowers found in the United States.
The game box is in good vintage condition, with great cover graphics. Both the box top and bottom have two split corners each; something not uncommon for a card game more than a century old. Instructions for the game are printed on the box cover.
Each card, uniquely indicated by the letters A through R, has a specific wild flower on its front and a rose-colored backside. The cards are in great antique condition, with only minor discoloration on some of the cards. The illustrations are beautifully rendered. The cards come in a black silk pouch to prevent them from being tossed about inside the game box.
Wild Flowers card game promises great family entertainment, with each game round lasting only about 15 minutes. This century-old game would make for a fun gift for a friend or family member. As a rare antique game, it is also a wonderful find for toy and game collectors.
