Produced and distributed in 1965 by Western Publishing Company, Inc. of Racine, Wisconsin, this vintage copy of the Slap Jack Card Game is in great condition. Though the original plastic case that contains the 44 game cards and one instruction card is scuffed with use and age, both top and bottom, the cards themselves have bright, vivid graphics, and they are free of creases, tears and frayed edges. Only the instruction card is slightly bent along its top edge, and a previous owner has written the words “Slap Jack” in blue ink next to the instruction card’s title.
As is typical of Slap Jack, the object of the game is to be the player who collects all the cards while trying to be the player who literally slaps the Jack each time it appears in the center. This goal is more challenging than it seems.
Slap Jack Card Game will offer many hours of fun family entertainment, especially if one has younger children. This card game would even make for a fun gift for a child’s birthday or other special occasion. It’s also ideal for those who collect vintage games and toys.
