About the Artist:
Bergamot Brass Works had its humble beginning in Fox River Grove, Illinois in September, 1970. The first “factory” was a 10’ x 14’ smokehouse that rented for $35 a month! Over the years, the company has grown to be considered the premier Art Foundry of its type in the world. Located now in Delavan, Wisconsin, the factory now encompasses 100,000 square feet, is three blocks long, with 100 dedicated employees.
For over thirty years, the artists and craftsmen of Bergamot have been creating the finest works of art in metal. Over this period, the company has produced over 38,000 stock and custom designs, currently manufacturing more than 2,000,000 castings per year. With a focus on solid metal castings, as well as offerings in bronze and sterling silver, Bergamot’s products are superior in every respect, in a wide pricing spectrum.
Dating back to 1977, this beautifully designed Bergamot Brass Works belt buckle depicts two ducks in flight over a stream. Composed of heavy pewter, the embossed details of the ducks are a testament to expert craftsmanship. This piece is a stunning duck hunter’s belt buckle in great vintage condition. It will accommodate a belt no larger than 1.75 inches wide. In addition, the backside of the belt buckle bears the logo of Bergamot Brass Works, the copyright date, a notice of “Made in USA,” and the serial number Z-144.
