Released in 1967 as a Bookcase Game by The Avalon Hill Game Company of Baltimore, Maryland, Word Power is a board game all about vocabulary knowledge, luck and a bit of poker strategy that creates a fast-moving word definition game. There are three games in one box: an elementary version comprises words of everyday usage, the family version focuses on frequently to infrequently-used words, and the scholar’s version deals with seldom-seen words that challenge even the smartest intellect.
This copy of Word Power has never been opened and comes in its original shrink wrap. Thus, the game is in excellent vintage condition.
Word Power promises many hours of great family entertainment. It also makes for a wonderful teaching tool for language-arts classes and their teachers.
