This great bronze sculpture of an Irish setter was produced by Simon Moselsio (Russian /American, 1890-1963) in 1928, as so indicated on the belly of the dog figurine. The features of the dog are very fine yet the animal stands quite rigidly as a wonderful example of the mechanistic art trend of the era.
The sculpture is in great vintage condition. The bronze has a patina true to a sculpture of almost 90 years in age. The metal art piece bears no mars whatsoever.
If you are a collector of early 20th-century bronze sculptures, then this small rendering of an Irish setter would make for a wonderful addition to your collection. This piece is also ideal to decorate one’s living room, library, study or office.
