Strategy Poker, manufactured in 1967 by Milton Bradley Company, is a challenging variation on traditional poker. The game can be played with two, three or four players, with each game affected by the number of players. To play Strategy Poker, a basic knowledge of poker is required.
The game comes with instructions (on the inside lid of the box top), a set of 52 standard playing cards (with two Rank of Hands cards), poker chips (white, red and blue), a plastic chip tray, and a vinyl playing mat. All the game components are in great vintage condition. The inner lid instructions have some writing around the margins of the instructions, primarily for game clarification. The graphics of the box cover have dulled a bit with age, and the box has some edge wear as well as parts of the cover that have been pulled off, probably from a price tag or tape. The box bottom has four torn areas, again probably due from tape.
For those who enjoy strategic card games with a bit of “Lady Luck,” Strategy Poker would make for an ideal gift for family entertainment. For those who collect vintage games and toys or those produced by Milton Bradley, this card game is a fun addition for such a collection.
