This unusual vintage card and dice game was produced in 1930 by the Milton Bradley Company. As originally marketed, Check and Double Check was touted as “A game of Action and Thrill, developing unexpected situations and startling climaxes so rapidly that you are constantly ‘on edge’ with suspense.” The object of the game is to dispose of the cards dealt to you or returned to you from the Discard pile. Sounds easy enough, but it isn’t!
For a game more than 80 years old, Check and Double Check is in great vintage condition. The box top has some minor wear marks in its corner points, the dice are clean (note that the number 6 on each die has been replaced with the word "check"), the cardboard chips are in fine condition (note that they are colored red, green and yellow), and the cards are in good shape with only a minor crease to two cards. The original instruction sheet has some creases. Please review accompanying photographs for condition issues.
If you, your family and/or your friends enjoy an evening of strategic card and dice challenge, then Check and Double Check will provide the sort of entertainment you are seeking. For those who collect vintage games and toys or vintage Milton Bradley products, then this rare find of a game is ideal for such a collection!
