Manufactured in 1987 by Heraclio Fournier of Victoria, Spain, Carros de Combate is a collectible card game featuring military tanks from a variety of nations. Carros de Combate is one in a series of collectible sets that were made in Spain throughout the 1980s. The card game, completely written in Spanish, features two different play options: “Juego de Caracteristicas” that focuses on obtaining all the tank cards, and “Juego de Cuartetos” in which players strive to gather the four tanks cards of the same numbered set.
This international card game is in excellent vintage condition. The box has minimal wear, and the wonderful cards (each with a colorful photograph of a different tank) are free of bends, tears, frayed edges and discoloration. In addition, each of the 32 cards identifies a tank’s country of origin via a colorful flag and provides unique information about the range and armament type. An instruction card in Spanish is also included.
For those who are collectors of internationally produced or foreign-language games and toys, Carros de Combate is an ideal find. Even with its militaristic theme, this card game is also useful for those wishing to improve their Spanish language skills.
