Manufactured in the 1950s by Crisloid, Inc., of Providence, Rhode Island, this five game dice set teaches people how to play Craps, Poker Dice, Put & Take, Royal Bowling, and Jack Pot. Instructions for each game appear on the inside of the box cover. All five dice sets are complete, and the whole package includes two Crisloid Plastic dice cups: one colored white and the other in rose.
Established in 1948 in the industrial belly of Brooklyn, New York, Crisloid quickly built a reputation on unrivaled, American-made, premium quality products. Company founders and gaming enthusiasts Alphonse and Lucky Lodato believed that quality materials and painstaking engineering were tantamount. Their execution of this philosophy swiftly propelled Crisloid into its global position as a worldwide gaming supplier. Among the classic games made by Crisloid are backgammon sets, dice games, mah jong sets, and checkers.
The Crisloid Five-Dice Game Set is in great vintage condition. The box cover graphics are bright and vivid, depicting the five different sets of dice and for which they are used. The box does have some edge wear and is creased in a few places. The dice and dice cups are pristine. The green plastic that holds the game components, however, is slightly cracked in two margins along the top and bottom. Accompanying photographs highlight the game’s condition.
For those who enjoy dice games, this Crisloid dice game set will provide wonderful entertainment for family and friends. It also makes for a fun addition to any vintage game and toy collection.
