Copyrighted in 1955 by Cadaco-Ellis of Chicago, Illinois, Little Boy Blue is a hide-and-go-seek game for younger children. The object of the game is to find Little Boy Blue under a haystack and win reward tokens. The instructions for the game are printed on the inside of the box cover. The game includes a self-contained game board with spinner, 21 red-dot reward tokens, and eight pegs painted in four different colors.
The box cover of Little Boy Blue has brilliant graphics, but the cover has been slightly pressed inward, has some edge wear, and has a split side panel. The nicely illustrated game board and its metal spinner are also in great condition. As for the pegs, there should be two of each color; however, there are three blue pegs and one red peg. This condition could be easily corrected by painting one of the pegs red. Finally, the box bottom bears the name “Lonnie” written in script in one of it corners. Review accompanying photographs for condition issue.
The Little Boy Blue board game would make for a wonderful gift for a child for any special occasion, as it promises great entertainment value. If you collect vintage game and toys, then this board game might be one you wish to add to your collection.
