Copyrighted in 1939 by C. W. Morgan, Thunderbird: The Mystic Game of Many Angles is an obscure yet highly original pre-World War II game. The inner box bottom serves as the game board upon which the tiles are played throughout the game. An instruction booklet describes the game’s “mystic secret” and gameplay for a single individual as well as for two opponents or four people who are playing as partners. It is a most unusual game of skill and absorbing diversion.
This vintage board game is in great condition. The box top shows minimal wear for its age, looking to be essentially unused. There should be 64 tiles, but one is missing. The tiles and game board are nearly mint. The instruction booklet is also in good condition with some yellowing again due to age.
This is a great piece for any collector of rare and vintage board games. However, if your family or friends enjoy brain-teasing games, then Thunderbird: The Mystic Game of Many Angles would make for hours of solitary or family entertainment.
