Product Description:
This 1991 Christmas ornament celebrating the history of the U.S. White House was acquired at an estate sale in northwest Indiana. The ornament comes with its original gift box and an eight-page description pamphlet.
The White House Christmas ornament for the year 1991 commemorates the presidency of William Henry Harrison. The ornament depicts Harrison in full military dress astride his white charger. The images of President Harrison and his horse are based on their portrayal in a painting by Alonzo Pease, a contemporary of Harrison. Another contemporary and personal friend of Harrison, Platt Rogers Spencer, developed the style of script that is used on the ornament.
This beautiful and collectible Christmas ornament would make a wonderful holiday gift as well as a welcome addition to any Americana collection.
