About the Artist:

Jenny Berry’s earliest memories are of drawing—people, faces and figures were always her favorite subjects. She first received mainstream recognition for her art in high school and was featured in American Artist. Jenny was offered an art merit scholarship and started her BFA at Eastern Michigan University at age 15, and received her BFA in 1987.

In 1989, Jenny attended Portfolio Center in Atlanta (a top-ranked creative ad/design school) for a few years. From 1993 to 2003, she worked as an advertising agency art director/copywriter for many famous agencies and corporate clients. In 2003, she quit the advertising business and started painting again.

She sold her first painting in an online auction and has been painting full time ever since. Her art sales rose meteorically in the first two years, topping her corporate creative director salary. “Something I never thought would happen,” Jenny informs us. By, 2005 her art could be found in private and corporate collections all over the world.

In 2006, Neiman Marcus purchased seven of her large-scale abstract paintings for its corporate collection housed at its Dallas headquarters. In 2007, Jenny had a painting in a featured home in Architectural Digest. In 2008, she signed an exclusivity agreement with a major gallery, quadrupling prices on some of her paintings virtually overnight. In 2009, her art was featured in the set design of both Olive Garden and Papa John's Pizza commercials. In 2010, her paintings were bought by Harvard University, an HGTV designer, a famous NFL athlete and my work was added to many more corporate and private collections around the world as well. In 2011, her artwork was used in several “Saturday Night Live” skits.

Product Description:

Dogbotz Boneyard has invested in the abstract artwork of Jenny Berry because of how her pieces convey subtle and often humorous commentaries on daily life. Whether it’s with the use of pastel colors, fluid shapes and almost tangible textures of nature or with the application of the graphic elements such as newspaper images or typography, the artist makes an evocative statement about the world in each painting. And so, from our Dogbotz Boneyard Gallery of Art for your own personal collection, we present Jenny Berry’s Vintage Flapper.
