This unique work tool dating back to the 1930s was originally used for joining wood. The wood vice was acquired at a Midwestern farmhouse estate sale. It is made of solid wood with a dark finish and has two corkscrew metal dowels (measuring 28" in width) with wooden handles. When expanded to its greatest width, the vice measure approximately 48 inches. Though the vice is no longer functional, it makes a great wall hanging for any rustic décor or for someone's home workshop. For collectors of vintage work tools, this would be an excellent addition or a great gift.
