About the Artist:
Doreen Horvath enjoys working in the medium of black-and-white or sepia-tone photography as the play of light with its brighter areas and shadows create the mood and tone she loves to convey in her photography. And, the unexpected drops and planes of color further enhance each photo in a unique way. For example, here in Full Moon in Orange Glow, it is the brilliant orange of the moonbeams that creates an atmosphere of eerie mystery.
Dogbotz Boneyard has collected the photography of Doreen Horvath because of her simple and honest depictions of American life as well as the wonders of the natural world. We appreciate that her photos lack human figures, yet their presence and influence is conveyed by the surroundings and possessions Doreen has selected as her subject. Finally, her use of unexpected spot color adds profound emotional content to an image that could easily yet wrongly be perceived as merely ordinary. And so, from our Dogbotz Boneyard art gallery for your own personal collection, we present Doreen Horvath’s Full Moon in Orange Glow.
