Produced in 1956 by Milton Bradley, The Game of Captain Kangaroo celebrates the American children's television series that aired weekday mornings CBS television for nearly 30 years, from October 3, 1955 until December 8, 1984, making it the longest-running nationally broadcast children's television program of its day. This nostalgic game is geared to children ages four to ten and for two, three or four players.
Though the box cover of the board game has numerous wear and damage issues such as split edges, frayed corners and even a piece of a side panel torn off (please see attached photographs), the interior components are in great vintage condition. All the colors printed on the game components remain quite vibrant for a 57-year-old game.
This vintage board game based on a much-loved children’s television character of the Baby Boomer generation makes for a wonderful evening of family entertainment. Also, this board game would also be a great addition to any a collection of Captain Kangaroo memorabilia or of vintage games.
