This vintage Art Deco bracelet was acquired at a Central Ohio estate sale. A light-weight chromium-plated bracelet such as this one with "pierced" filigree, a flexible hinge and front clasp was in vogue (hence, in great demand) during the late 1920s to early 1930s. This particular bracelet is signed with the hallmark for J.J. White of Providence R.I., a company established in 1896, and also bears a patent number on its inside surface. A faceted, rich blue rhinestone serves as the main feature of the bracelet. The bracelet is in good vintage condition, showing minor wear but no significant flaws.
This delicate bracelet would make a great “first piece” for any young woman beginning her collection of vintage jewelry. Also, consider it for a special occasion, such as a birthday or anniversary, for the lady of your life.
