About the Artist:
Nez Peek says of himself: “I am a self-taught contemporary artist living in British Columbia, Canada. Currently, I am producing mixed media works on paper, canvas, found cardboard and wood. I work with graphite, acrylic and oil, while sometimes incorporating collage elements. Though frequently considered by others as an outsider artist, I believe that my art is more accurately Expressionist in style, referencing natural subjects and figures, though I do produce pieces that are non-objective and purely abstract. In every piece I create, conveying authentic emotion is always the goal.”
Nez Peek and his works were originally introduced to our Dogbotz Boneyard Gallery of Art buyers in the “Folk and Outsider Art” exhibit of August 2012.
Dogbotz Boneyard has collected the artwork of Nez Peek because of his capacity to convey genuine emotion in each composition, an objective achieved by distortion, gestural brushstrokes, accidental splatters and drips, and well-intentioned fields and/or juxtapositions of vivid colors. For this artist, it’s all about transmitting his innermost feelings imbued in his imagery to the soul of the viewer. And so, from our Dogbotz Boneyard Gallery of Art for your own personal collection, we present Nez Peek’s One Who Grows Distant.
