About the Artist:
When asked about the images and subjects of his pieces, photographer Scott Udstuen claims, “My work is inspired by classical themes: Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Egyptian art, ancient objects, mystical worlds, angels, rich patinas, nature, fantasy, antique images, and urban landscapes.”
Wow! What wonderful sources of inspiration!
Scott Udstuen and his works were originally introduced to our Dogbotz Boneyard Gallery of Art buyers in the “Media Mayhem” exhibit of May 2013.
Dogbotz Boneyard has invested in the black-and-white photography of Scott Udstuen because of his architectural style through which each photograph presents a study of a different structural face that comprises the cityscape of his hometown, Chicago, Illinois. Sometimes his imagery is inspired simply by a façade of a landmark building, yet at other moments, he blends several architectural elements to create an awakened memory of a time past or forgotten. Or, as in this piece, the structure of the human form is his muse. Whatever the subject of his photograph may be, it resonates with quiet yet potent emotional content. And so, from our Dogbotz Boneyard Gallery of Art for your own personal collection, we present Scott Udstuen’s Male Nude, Art Deco Style.
