Produced in the mid-1950s as a Built Rite toy, Highway Travel Card Game can be, according to the promotion on the box front, “played in auto or home.” With the then-newly shaped playing cards that are easier to hold as they fit a child’s hand, opponents can play one of the two versions of the card game: the regular game described on the box back or Road Hog, of which its rules are detailed on one of the 44 playing cards. Both version provide hours of great entertainment.
This little card game is in good vintage condition. The playing cards are free of wear, tears, creases, and stains, and their graphics remain quite bright. The box does show some signs of age. (Please review the attached photographs.)
Highway Travel Card Game offers hours of fun for the entire family. The card game would also make for a delightful gift for a child or an exceptional addition to any vintage game and toy collection.
