16-Inch Long Wooden Case Plane

This vintage wood plane dates back to the late 1920s-early 1930s and was acquired from a McHenry County auction, just northwest of Chicago, Illinois. This nicely crafted wood plane is still a functional tool. It has a steel blade that is held in place by a wood wedge, both of which can be removed from the main plane assembly. A wooden handle in the back of the plane makes using the plane quite an easy task. The body of the plane is made from a piece of solid wood.

Once a woodworking workshop item, the plane shows the years of use in its worn wood and wonderful coloring. This wood plane could certainly serve as a great accent piece for any den, workshop, or “man cave” as it is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
