This beautiful vintage Weiss rhinestone necklace sports the old-time 1950s gorgeous blue rhinestones in a mix of chaton, marquise and round stones. The extension tail has the traditional Weiss open latch and has the hallmark “Weiss” printed on it. Silver-tone mounting contains all the prong-set rhinestones.

Acquired from the daughter of the original owner in Northfield, Illinois, this eye-catching necklace is in very good vintage condition. All the original rhinestones are present and sparkly nicely. The silver-tone metal retains a brilliant shine.

This 1950s necklace will make a lovely addition to your Weiss costume jewelry collection. Or, purchase one of the Weiss blue rhinestone brooches along with this necklace to create a gift set for someone special in your life.

About the Artist

Albert Weiss was a jewelry designer in the 1940s and 1950s, and Weiss jewelry designs are valued today for their astonishing style. Weiss jewelry may be marked "Weiss," "Albert Weiss," or "A.W. Co." Many of his pieces are considered collectibles, and each one embodies an unmistakable style. Like most other costume jewelry designed in this era, Weiss jewelry is intended to stand out and augment a women's beauty with shine and design. Weiss costume jewelry is not limited to women who are attempting to create a sensation. A Weiss brooch can be worn today with scarves and sweaters, or to liven up a dark winter coat. As hats are becoming more popular in style, brooches can also be placed on the brim or crown. Please note that a piece of Weiss jewelry can turn bland into sophisticated.
