Dogbotz Boneyard has collected the unusually themed photographs of Sharon Kalstek because of the haunting subject matter she portrays through the use of depth, layering, color, and sometimes intentionally out-of-focus imagery. Her metallic photographic prints have a timeless, surreal quality extending from the past (be it historic, literary or film) or from the unconscious state of dreams. And so, from our Dogbotz Boneyard art gallery for your own personal collection, we present Sharon Kalstek’s Captain Nemo.
“The fine art image photographs that I produce for gallery exhibitions and private purchases,” Sharon Kalstek says, “are printed on archival life-time, acid-free, professional Kodak Endura metallic paper.”
Why metallic paper? Sharon states, “It’s a very unique printing paper. And, it has a glossy finish and metallic appearance that create images described as ‘Chrome on Paper,’ while at the same time adding depth, vibrant color and flattering flesh tones. Metallic paper creates unique black and white images as well. Prints appear to be three-dimensional, making a very beautiful dramatic photograph.”
