Description

From Navajo potter Mary Arnl comes this stunning ceramic jar of horses galloping and chasing after each other. This mid-1980s hand-painted jar depicts the horses at dusk, with the primary colors of black horses over a background of dark brown (on the top and bottom edges of the jar), red, orange and light yellow. Navajo designs are also present on the jar. All of this creates just a gorgeous pottery piece.

The jar is in excellent vintage condition, free of chips or cracks as well missing or worn off paint. The potter’s signature appears on the bottom of the jar. Please see accompanying photographs for overall condition.

This beautiful Mary Arnl jar would make for a wonderful housewarming gift or a decorative piece in one’s living room, dining room, study or office. For who collect Native American art and artifacts, or those specifically of the Navajo nation, this galloping horses ceramic jar is a great find.
