Dogbotz Boneyard has collected the artwork of Gail Beekman because of her union of iconic Native American images (such as a hoop dancer, a Kachina spirit, or the fertility god Kokopelli) with brilliant colors that often reflect the sacred cardinal points of the Wheel of Life, intricately drawn lines and spirals that animate her subjects, and the fluid patterns and visual textures found in nature. Her paintings become meditative pieces in and of themselves, reflecting back to the viewer the places where the Great Spirit resides and how and when the joys of life can be deeply embraced. And so, from our Dogbotz Boneyard Gallery of Art for your own personal collection, we present Gail Beekman’s Spirits Entwined #9.

NOTE: The purchase of Spirits Entwined #9 comes with a free $100 Dogbotz Boneyard gift certificate, which can be redeemed during a future purchase at our online store. The expiration date of the gift certificate is one year after purchase of this item.

About the Artist

Gail Beekman is a self-taught artist whose interest in art began while attending high school in Sylmar, California, where she graduated as an art major. She pursued a career as a design draftsperson until 1996. Rediscovering her love of art, she now works from her home studio in beautiful Northwest Montana.

For Gail, powerful guidance comes from this concept: “According to ancient Indian belief, there is nothing on this earth that does not have a spirit. It is to this ideal that I dedicate my efforts. The subjects in my paintings may vary, but life itself and the joy of creating are my greatest inspiration of all. In my paintings, I hope to awaken an emotional response that is not understood, but pursued. As an artist, I am always trying to go beyond the boundaries.”
